About Me

I received my undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California and my Masters in Mental Health Counseling at Baruch College in New York City.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC),

Certified Eating Disorder Specialist- Supervisor (CEDS-S)

and a Certified Advanced Therapist in Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT).

At Mount Sinai's Eating and Weight Disorders program in New York City, I implemented Family-Based Treatment (FBT or Maudsley) and CBT to support patients with all eating disorder diagnoses in weekly outpatient treatment and NIH-funded research studies.

I served as a Clinical Manger at Eating Recovery Center's flagship Child and Adolescent Program in Denver providing supervision and training in FBT and EFFT to Primary Therapists and creating and running curriculum for the Parent Programming. I have worked with individuals suffering from nearly every type of eating disorder ranging from individuals struggling with problematic dieting to those needing 24 hour medical attention.

As a Certified Advanced Therapist in Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), I have unique tools to support parents and caregivers whose children are suffering with mental health issues. As a parent myself, this is an area of my work I feel incredibly passionate about.

In my coaching work, I am thrilled to be able to support parents to better understand, communicate with and help their children thrive. For more on this work, please visit www.brynmillercoaching.com

I love what I do and I care deeply about those that I work with. While my approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, it is implemented with my signature high energy, a healthy dose of humor and immense compassion. When not working, I am at home, trying to remember all my parenting skills so I don't lose it on my own kids. (Only kidding! Sort of...)
